OpenAPC Dual License
Sources that are provided to our customers can be used according to our dual licensing model. That means, the conditions the sources are
licensed with depend on the intended and real usage of the sources and the software that bases on the licenses sources.
- As long as you use the provided source codes and the resulting binaries together with software components out of the OpenAPC software package, the
sources are licensed as Freeware. That means we keep the copyright and all rights reserved
but you can use it for free without any further restrictions and are allowed to modify the sources. You do not need to re-publish your modifications, you do
not need to provide them to us and you can keep them confidential. For details please refer to the definition of Freeware here.
- When you use the provided source codes and the resulting binaries outside the scope of the OpenAPC software package, the sources are licensed under
the terms of the GNU General Public License. That means you can modify the sources freely
but you have to publish them for free. For details about the GPL and its conditions please refer to
GNU General Public License.
